As a Lived Experience Advisor I can offer invaluable insight in to what it was like to have been sectioned under the mental health act as a serving police officer.
I can also offer best practice on appropriate restraint and how inappropriate restraint can add to further trauma on an individual.
I have already collaborated with a number of restraint companies including ‘Exclusive Secure Care Services’ / ‘MMVA’ who have very kindly offered to be one of the Sponsors for S.I.S this year.
The services I can offer include:
- Recording a video based on my lived experience so be shared on training videos
- Attending a training session with delivery
- Provide an input during a training session
- Review course content to support co production
