We provide a wide range of services which offer alternative methods to manage stress and anxiety through exercise, the outdoors and art therapy. Everyone’s mental health is unique to themselves and therefore should be treated that way and dealt with accordingly. We concentrate on what works for each individual to aid their own recovery and their journey going forward. Each approach that we use provides unique benefits, and their combination often creates a holistic path to wellness. By incorporating exercise into the programme we aim to enhance participants Mood, Reduce their stress levels, Enhance their Self-Esteem, Reduce their Anxiety and improve their sleep. Simply being in the outdoors amongst nature often involves mindfulness techniques, focussing on the present moment, which can help distract from anxiety and rumination. SIS believes that offering Art therapy to participant’s can also have an extremely positive effect on their well-being. Art provides a medium for individuals to express emotions that they might find difficult to verbalise, offering a healthy outlet for emotion and trauma. In summary, integrating exercise, outdoor therapy, mindfulness, and art into mental health recovery presents a more robust and multifaceted approach reducing symptoms of depression and anxiety.
